Plagiarism Policy
Frontiers in Social Sciences Research (FSSR) maintains the highest standards of academic integrity. We strictly prohibit plagiarism in any form. Authors submitting manuscripts to the journal must ensure that their work is original, properly cited, and not under consideration elsewhere.
Screening Process
- All submissions are checked using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin/iThenticate).
- Manuscripts with a similarity index above 10–15% (excluding references, tables, and quotations) may be returned to authors for revision or rejected.
Forms of Plagiarism Considered Unethical
- Copying text, ideas, or data without proper citation
- Self-plagiarism (reusing substantial parts of one’s own previously published work)
- Fabrication or falsification of data
- Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously
Consequences
- If plagiarism is detected before publication, the manuscript will be rejected.
- If detected after publication, the article will be retracted and a notice of academic misconduct will be issued.
- The author’s institution may be informed in serious cases.
FSSR follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling plagiarism-related concerns.
